"Montour House Café & Tapas Bar serves up delicious, fresh, chef-created foods, pastries, espresso drinks, and Finger Lakes wines and beers. We especially love the Slow-Roasted Veggie Wrap full of roasted red peppers, olives, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, hummus, sweet onion, and NY cheddar cheese, and their delicious Chicken and Cheddar Wrap stuffed with sliced chicken breast, Gouda cheese, mixed greens, tomato, onion, lettuce, and Kalamata olives. With a chef/owner who has served dignitaries and worked alongside internationally-renowned chefs and in some of the top kitchens in the country – the Montour House is definitely a can’t-miss stop!" This place will surprise you; as Montour Falls' exceptionally cool family-operated cafe... It is one of my secret hideouts! The food is absolutely outstanding, the coffee spectacular and the wine list superb... and prices ridiculously low honestly...
You would never expect to find a bonafide gourmet chef in Montour Falls, but Steve got his training from years at the legendary Pierce's restaurant in Elmira! He's quite humble, so I'll be his mouthpiece smile emoticon
Steve and his family will make you feel right at home as they did the very first day I walked in... you will be back again and often... check it out.. you can thank me later.

I was amazed at the excellent quality of the food. They even knew how to make my favorite blend of chai, which I'm very fussy about. Pat and Steve are wonderful people, warm, and very involved in making their business welcoming. It's a sweet little spot that you'll want to return to again and again.
